Art Deco Bar Cabinet from northern Portugal, produced circa mid-1920s and 1930s, showcasing the local woodworking tradition during the Art Deco period. Built in solid oak, the cabinet’s body is composed of two shelves, and features Walnut veneer panel doors with metal handles.
The lateral edges of the face frame features a vertical bas-relief of vegetal motifs, depicting grapes, leaves, and pomegranates. Above the cabinet’s feet, an open bottom shelf rests on a geometric frieze, matching the ornamented design covering the surface of the top panel.
The interior is sectioned into a mirror-covered upper compartment, ideal for displaying glassware, and a lower shelf with vents, conceived for the storage of beverage bottles.
