Rare original collotype of Amor Schiesst Auf Mädchen ("Cupid shoots at girl"), by the German Symbolist artist Max Klinger (1857-1920), well-known for his association with the Vienna Secession and Jugendstil, the German manifestation of Art Nouveau.

Max Klinger produced significant work in mediums such as painting, sculpture, prints and graphics, further articulating his ideas on art and the role of graphic arts and printmaking in relation to painting through his essays. Nowadays, Klinger is best known for his many prints, but perhaps most notably due to his monumental sculptural installation in homage to Beethoven at the Vienna Secession (1902).
